Chef Cody Vasek directs culinary operations at the historic Green Mountain Inn’s dining facilities including its signature restaurant The Whip Bar and Grill. Raised on a cattle and produce farm in rural Texas, Vasek’s background gives him a broad prospective well suited to Vermont’s local food movement. Chef Vasek honed his skills working at numerous venues from Austin’s iconic Driskill Hotel to New York City where he spent several years working directly with Jean George Vongerichten at several of his prestigious restaurants. Vasek’s affinity for farm to table cooking and passion for clean seasonal food simply prepared couples nicely with the abundant variety of carefully produced regional products.
