Since meeting while attending the New England Culinary Institute in 1995, Steve and Lara Atkins have immersed themselves in the culture of food and wine, completely falling in love with the dining experience. It was while working at Bizou (in San Francisco), Brix and La Toque (both in Napa Valley) that the couple began taking “notes” on how they would do things if they ever opened their own restaurant. After starting a family, they moved back to Vermont and made their dream, The Kitchen Table Bistro, a reality. Passionate about supporting as many local farms and businesses as possible, the menu changes often to reflect changing seasons but the Kitchen Table is always calming and inviting.
